I’ve been pretty obsessed with the whole Free People look lately. After I refashioned this dress I loved it, but it was still, just a plain black dress. I rummaged through my closet trying various belts and cardigans before finally settling on this vest I’ve been meaning to wear on here for awhile now..

In all honesty, the dress was really simple to refashion. Looking at it, I think it might be the most dramatic change I’ve gotten from the least amount of work..

What I Did:

  • Hemmed
  • Re-sewed the back zipper

Dress: Thrifted // Boots: Vogue // Vest: Forever // Bag: Free People // Necklace: Thrifted

_1240400How adorable is this bag from Free People? Random Story: It was actually a Valentine’s Day gift from Paul. I had no idea he got this for me, but the night before I had a dream he got me a really ugly bag (which I had to pretend to like). The next day before we exchanged gifts I kinda laughed as I told him about the dream, and he just looked at me with a little bit of panic and said ‘I actually got you a bag’. Fortunately, it was not the bag from my dreams, just a really odd coincidence.

Harold Krueger, 90, has served in three wars. But perhaps his greatest challenge has been facing the death of LaVina, his wife of 63 years, over the last month. LaVina planned on throwing a party for Krueger’s 90th birthday, according to KFY. After LaVina’s death, Krueger’s daughter, Debra Turner, took over the celebration and turned to Facebook for help.  The post was shared over 650 times and as of Sunday he had received over 1000 letters from 48 states, how amazing is that? Check out the full story here.

You must have had to cut off a lot of fabric, haha! I love the way it looks after you hemmed it up. Also, go check out my most recent post on my blog, because I nominated you for the Liebster Blog award! You are not required to participate, but I’d love to read your answers to my questions (:
